Metis 4.0

The Metis 4.0 is a modular production solution manufactured by IMS. By adding or removing modules, customers are able to quickly configure the production line to keep up with an ever changing demand. The product’s high degree of modularity challenged the designers to develop an aesthetic that would accommodate different types of configurations without appearing cluttered and chaotic. The result is a dominant central body onto which the modules are docked.

By making sure that the modules are visually submissive, their presence or lack of does not affect the overall look of the machine. Light colours are used to further strengthen the high-end and fresh look of the machine.
